The Clock Tower was built after the Hadum Mosque in a place known as the “Clock Field.” This tower reflects the rapid economic development of Gjakova at that time. This tower was destroyed during the Balkan wars, while the bell was removed and transported to Montenegro. A new timer of 4.10 m long and 30 m high was built later in the vicinity of the previous foundations. Built mainly of stone with a wooden observation area and lead-covered roof, the timepiece is unique in its kind.
